Providence Baptist Church

Effective on Sunday, August 27, 2000, Mrs. Gayle Haggard began serving as Moderator for PBC, replacing Dr. Glenn James who faithfully served in this role during the past four years. As Moderator, Gayle will serve on the four-person Administrative Team. She and Pastor Jim Rennell will join Clerk Jonathan Sheumaker and Treasurer Roy Loutzenheiser on the PBC Administrative Team.

Gayle Haggard previously served on the Administrative Team from August 1996 through December 1999, in the position of Treasurer. She has served as Accompanist since the founding of PBC in Summer 1996 and periodically as Bible Study Leader. She also has been actively involved in leading and supporting missions efforts of the church, following up with church visitors, planning and hosting church fellowship events and meetings, singing in the PBC Quartet, and representing PBC at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Assembly in 2000 and the Tennessee Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Assemblies and other meetings in 1999 and 2000.

She currently serves on the Tennessee CBF New Church Starts Committee. Gayle is widely respected and warmly regarded for her steadfast commitment, her energy and enthusiasm, and her humble example of service. The PBC family looks forward to Gayle's continuing leadership in the growth and development of the church and, more importantly, in the carrying out of the mission endeavors of the church.
