From its beginning, Providence Baptist Church has been blessed
by the involvement of a variety of people in the Cookeville area
and beyond. A great number of individuals have been especially
helpful in developing the Sunday worship services of our new
church, and the PBC family greatly appreciates the generous
participation of the following individuals in the Sunday worship
services of our church during August 1996 through March 1997,
prior to the calling of a pastor. Providence has been blessed by
the involvement of these fine leaders, and we thank God for their
commitment and willingness to serve.

The communion service on June 1 was blessed by the involvement of a special group of young people from First Baptist Church of Cookeville. The Crusaders provided a theme interpretation for the communion service, featuring special music and hand choreography from behind a puppet-style, curtained frame. The interpretation utilized "the bread," "the cup," and the cross, and emphasized the abundant love of Christ. We thank the Crusaders and leader Judy Owen for their contributions toward a wonderful worship service.
